About Gayle Musselman, owner
Gayle first experienced her love of working with animals directly out of high school by volunteering at a local animal shelter. That worked progressed into becoming an animal cruelty investigator for a local humane society. The work was difficult and heartbreaking, but further strengthened her dedication to animal welfare.
Gayle graduated from Immaculata University with a degree in Business Management and a minor in economics. Though working in the world of finance for several years, her love of animals continued and she once again returned to the field and began working at veterinary practices and training as a veterinary technician. She continued to work in veterinary medicine for many years at several local hospitals. That work allowed her to acquire the substantial amount of animal care knowledge that she holds and strengthened the feeling that her life was intended to be dedicated to animal care and welfare.
In the early 2000s, she started animal care assistance, or pet sitting, initially performing services for friends, acquaintances, and clients of the hospitals where she worked. The need for quality pet care assistance was clear, and in 2007, Purr-Fect Care, LLC became a legal business entity. “THIS is my full time job! THIS is what I do. THIS is my career.”
Gayle resides in Honey Brook township with husband, Richard. They have three grown daughters and one granddaughter. Also sharing the home, are Golden Retriever, Ben, Chinese Shar Pei, Tobi, West Highland Terrier, Remmington, Toy Poodle, Camden, and a Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix named Jackson. Also in the household are two cats, Tinkerbelle and Tigger, and two Parakeets, Coheed and Cyrano.
“There are few things that give me more joy than knowing that we have truly helped a devoted and loving pet parent balance their life and responsible pet ownership. It is extremely rewarding.”
